Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, current valid driver's license (CDL preferred), medium/heavy duty truck technical training with either a 2-year school and 4 years experience or 5 years experience, proficiency in electrical meter testing, knowledge of DC low voltage controls and electric motors, and skills in diagnosis, repair, welding, and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
Fleet Technician III involves mentoring and teaching Fleet Technician I and II, sharing expertise for their development, and may include moderate supervisory roles when Fleet Manager or Supervisors are unavailable.
Strong candidates have medium/heavy duty truck technical training (2-year school plus 4 years experience or 5 years total), CDL preferred, and expertise in electrical systems, diagnosis, repairs, preventive maintenance, and mentoring lower-level technicians.
