Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as a technical leader and/or Product Manager with experience dealing directly with hardware or firmware product development (e.g. consumer electronics, vehicles, IoT devices, OS development, etc.)
  • Comfortable working across multiple technologies, able to discuss architectures and technical tradeoffs, including hardware (e.g. wheels, brakes, batteries), power (e.g. charging, motors), electronics (e.g. GPS, bluetooth, cameras), firmware (e.g. lock/unlock algorithms), and in-app experience
  • Passionate about Lime's mission, micromobility, and the vehicles/solutions built in the space
  • Empathetic with demonstrated ability to understand customers, their experiences, and a process for doing so
  • Intellectually honest, recognizing that problems can only be solved if called out
  • Owner’s mindset: self-starter who gets things across the finish line, identifies most important challenges, and tackles them
  • Insight-led and data optimized: recognizes insights from customer empathy, optimizes with data, comfortable using/pulling data to evaluate problems
  • Drives clarity: comfortable with ambiguity, brings clarity, drives decisions, sets direction even without knowing the problem upfront, looks around corners, addresses obstacles proactively
  • Operates at all levels: able to drive decision making with C-suite and dive deep with technical teams
  • Preferred: based within the San Francisco Bay Area; expected to travel at least 6 times per year to San Francisco or other US locations

Responsibilities

  • Create and own the roadmap: set the vision for the product area and guide teams to execute through persuasion and evaluation
  • Own the product development process from start to finish to bring new products to life, partnering directly with engineering, design, and research teams to build consumer-facing features
  • Understand customer needs and pain points by analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to gather requirements, prioritize, and make decisions
  • Work backwards from desired customer experiences: write product requirements and drive consensus with business and technical stakeholders
  • Guide continuous improvement of products in the field, addressing the most pressing obstacles for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the execution of product development activities, ensuring successful implementation and launch of high-quality features in collaboration with engineering, operations, finance, policy, and product teams
  • Look broadly to understand business and organizational challenges and create durable mechanisms to address them, even if not directly in scope
