Requirements

Candidates should possess knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers, with a preference for 1-2 years of experience. They should be able to perform light physical work involving lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds, and hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

The Finish Wire Operator will use overhead electric hoists to mount wire coils, set up straightening rolls and rolling mills, feed materials through machines, transfer spools, and adjust turk’s heads to achieve desired wire thickness and width. They will also obtain ground rolls, grind edges, rebuild turk’s heads, use a trivotester to verify material types, maintain daily logs and inventory records, manage cleaning solutions, transfer production data to a computer, maintain a clean work area, report defects and malfunctions, perform TPM duties, follow safety regulations, and complete other assigned tasks.
