Requirements

Candidates should possess prior experience with field work, such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring, and be comfortable working at heights using ladders and bucket trucks up to 30 feet high. They must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and demonstrate handyman-like skills. Prior knowledge or willingness to be trained to operate and drive a bucket truck is required, as is comfort driving a work van (Ford Transit) and occasionally a 1-ton pickup truck (Ram 3500) or towing a small trailer.

Responsibilities

The Installation Technician will install poles, solar panels, and license-plate reading cameras on poles, angle to capture desired footage, and affix external batteries to solar panels. They will also repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring, adhere to a daily schedule, provide installation pictures via a mobile app, perform site surveys, interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings, and perform administrative tasks such as inventory management and reporting. Additionally, the technician will meet with customers to discuss installation options and work in a safe and professional manner.
