Requirements

  • Direct report to the CFO as a key member of the Global Finance Leadership Team
  • Ability to lead a team of approximately 10 finance professionals based in China, Japan, and Korea
  • Experience in financial stewardship, including P&L ownership, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering
  • Knowledge of Danaher accounting policies, local statutory regulations, and tax requirements for Japan and Korea
  • Expertise in compliance, controls, balance sheet management, and statutory/management reporting
  • Proficiency in leveraging Danaher Business System (DBS) for continuous improvement
  • Skills in strategic business partnering with commercial, operations, HR, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and service leaders
  • Capability to drive cost optimization, working capital efficiency, inventory management, and strategic investment decisions
  • Experience with global standard costing, COGS variance analysis (e.g., PPV, absorption, yield), and operations KPIs (QCT)
  • Strong people leadership skills for developing, mentoring teams, and succession planning
  • Willingness to work onsite at the China plant

Responsibilities

  • Drive regional profitability, margin expansion, and top-line growth in Asia (ex-China); provide financial insights for commercial decisions and operational execution
  • Lead regional planning process, including development of accurate revenue, cost, and cash flow forecasts aligned with corporate objectives
  • Act as primary finance partner to regional commercial, service, and HR leaders; support annual planning, pricing strategy, deal reviews, and ongoing forecasting
  • Analyze margin mix and commercial deal structures to support profitable growth
  • Ensure compliance with Danaher accounting policies, local statutory regulations, and tax requirements for Japan and Korea; maintain robust balance sheet controls and timely reporting
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing regional finance team; foster collaboration for talent development and succession planning
  • Serve as global finance lead for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Service organizations
  • Own financial planning and analysis for global operations, including annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, and strategic initiatives
  • Oversee global standard costing methodology and drive root-cause analysis of COGS variances (e.g., PPV, absorption, yield)
  • Track and report key operations KPIs across quality, cost, and throughput (QCT); partner with Ops leadership for accountability and continuous improvement
  • Optimize inventory and working capital
