Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record
  • Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Responsible for adhering to Hill-Rom Safety Procedures
  • Must wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing
  • Frequently works in environments where biohazards could be present (i.e., Hospitals, Service Centers, and Depots)

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex repair work on all customer and company-owned medical equipment
  • Perform responsibilities of FST I related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products
  • Operate a fleet vehicle in a safe manner
  • Provide direct customer contact
  • Provide 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products
  • Troubleshoot devices and repair any malfunctioning components
  • Use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs
  • Provide on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits
  • Load, unload, and remove medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds
  • Generate service revenue and complete activities required under service contract
  • Safely operate box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck
