Candidates should possess an Associate’s degree in Electro/Mechanical Systems or a related curriculum, or a Bachelor’s degree in poultry science or a related field from an accredited institution, and typically require 1-5 years of related experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred, along with proven mechanical aptitude, proficiency in organizational skills, and being a self-motivated and self-starter with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, and initiative. Basic computer skills utilizing Word, Excel, and Outlook are also necessary, as well as proven skills in interpreting and communicating Hatchery Air Plating Program results.
The Field Service Specialist will manage the Hatchery Inovo Process for Zoetis by executing customer service programs, performing preventive maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment in poultry hatcheries, and conducting emergency repairs as needed at customer locations. They will also understand and follow electrical schematics, participate in territory after-hours support and repairs, communicate with assigned hatcheries, complete relevant reporting forms and procedures, manage the Zoetis Operator Training Program for 25+ people, facilitate vaccine and sanitation preparation programs, support the Zoetis Process Evaluation Program, collect and report information within Zoetis Fieldaware System, follow safety procedures, and regularly communicate with their supervisor. Additionally, they will travel 60-80% of the time and be available for unsocial work hours to respond to customer emergency calls, lifting more than 25 pounds, and working in a potentially hazardous environment with heat and humidity.
