The Field Service Engineer will perform preventative maintenance, hardware and software upgrades, and repair interventions on molecular instrumentation. They will install and implement new systems, troubleshoot applications and instrumentation via phone and on-site, and provide customer training. The role involves close cooperation with Application Support Specialists and the Commercial team, active participation in Abbott Molecular meetings, and providing primary service and support within the assigned territory, with potential back-up support outside the territory. Responsibilities also include maintaining tools, spare parts inventory, reporting to Service Management, and representing Abbott professionally.
