Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated sales experience or relevant technical/clinical experience, preferably in the medical, scientific, or healthcare industry. An Associate's degree is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally with a science or business emphasis or equivalent experience. Strong technical sales capabilities, expertise in veterinary terminology/science, and demonstrated skills selling capital equipment in physician and/or veterinary clinics are essential. The ability to make presentations, including financial ones, and transport, set-up, and demonstrate equipment effectively is necessary. Superior understanding of market trends, sales initiatives, and competitive messaging, along with excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, multitasking, and independent work skills are required. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance are mandatory. Fluency in English is required, and the ability to safely lift and move 60 lbs is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Diagnostics Solutions Consultant is responsible for selling Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, and associated products and services within an assigned territory, building and maintaining customer relationships to maximize retention, and achieving budgeted sales quotas. They must develop and maintain a thorough understanding of diagnostic products and services, travel extensively to customer locations, and document all interactions via an online system. Responsibilities include transporting, setting up, and demonstrating equipment, clearly explaining product uses and benefits, securing purchase orders, and providing ongoing customer support. The role involves generating new business and leads, supporting billing and collection efforts, and cooperating with other Zoetis colleagues to achieve goals and support the diagnostics business. Anticipated travel within the assigned territory is required, up to 60%-70%, including periodic overnight travel.
