Requirements

Candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience and knowledge, and some experience with Single Use Technology is preferred. Familiarity with Delta V or other control software is beneficial, along with experience in Commissioning and Qualifications (C&Q) within facility, equipment, or utilities, and knowledge of Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA), change control, deviations management, and document management systems.

Responsibilities

The Field Service Engineer will travel to customer sites across the Nordics, UK, Ireland, and potentially the wider EMEA region to install, service, update, and repair Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Single Use Technology (SUT) hardware and automation products, performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repair services, verification, and qualification services. They will also conduct commissioning and qualification of equipment by implementing Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) Protocols, collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues, provide basic product training and technical assistance, report activities on the Sales Force Service desk, aid in optimizing revenue and new product development opportunities, and demonstrate products to potential customers.
