Candidates must possess an associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience. Required experience includes technical customer-facing roles in life sciences or biomedical engineering, and hands-on experience with sophisticated analyzers or systems, including operation, repair, and calibration. Proficiency in Windows, software, networking, electrical/electronics, mechanics, and chemistry technology is necessary, along with strong analytical problem-solving and engineering skills. The ability to adapt to change, work independently in a fast-paced remote environment, stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods, and lift up to 75 pounds is also required.
The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site service, including repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installations of ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) analyzers. They will travel to customer sites on short notice to resolve issues or support other personnel, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and internal policies for service reports and spare parts management. The role involves interacting with customers with integrity and tact, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues, and providing training to technicians and operators. Additionally, Field Service Engineers are expected to enhance their technical proficiency through training courses and manage travel expenses according to company guidelines.
