Responsibilities

As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Roofr brand, value proposition, and target audience to execute an event strategy that acquires and delights prospective and existing customers, partners, and investors.
  • Initiate and project manage event projects end-to-end and on time. Ensure that event projects have clearly identified task lists, deadlines, and resources. Find ways to measure the impact of, optimize, and iterate on these acquisition and affinity-focused campaigns.
  • Identify new opportunities for event sponsorship and manage the sponsorship cycle, including negotiating budgets, identifying speakers, executing on deliverables, creating conversion funnels, and reporting on results.
  • Manage in-person field events and future virtual events from start to finish, including timelines, vendor management, speaker management, shipments, collateral (print and digital), signage, giveaways, catering, AV requirements, travel, payment, technical setup and teardown, etc.
  • Nurture positive speaker and partner experiences by building trusting, long-term relationships, ultimately supporting the conversion of them into long-term marketing partners.
  • Work closely with the field marketing team to plan and execute pre, during, and post-event activities, nurture, and conversion programs.
  • Collaborate with the wider Roofr team (brand, revenue, product, support) to get help, support, and resources for event-related needs.
  • Work with the creative team to create high-quality, consistent branding for all events.
  • Be responsible for ordering and tracking event and partner inventory, including collateral and giveaways.
  • Carry out all post-campaign administration, budget reconciliation, KPI tracking, follow-up communications, team debriefs, and ROI analysis.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 1+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or demand generation.
  • Proven experience carrying out tasks related to event marketing efforts, including planning and reporting for tradeshows, roadshows, webinars, and community events.
  • Comfort with email marketing and event software such as Hubspot, Splash, or similar.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Enjoy traveling and working on the go; up to 50% of your time will be spent traveling to various events in North America.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Independent, resourceful, and able to problem-solve creatively.
  • Analytical skills to connect the dots and identify trends, patterns, and challenges.
  • Experience in a startup SaaS environment, preferably SMB or construction-tech related, is a plus.
