Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific field, or equivalent work experience, and at least 3 years of hands-on Trace Elemental Analysis experience. Research experience, such as a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. or equivalent experience, is an asset.
The Field Application Scientist will provide training on Thermo Scientific’s Trace Elemental Analysis instruments and software, offering both in-person and remote support to customers. They will also provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including education and on-site visits, and connect with customers in a professional manner. Furthermore, the role involves building informative tools and delivering them engagingly, combining conceptual and analytical knowledge to independently address complex problems, prioritizing projects and demonstrating a consistent track record of independent work and a strong work ethic. The position requires frequent travel up to 75% primarily within Western United States.
