Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field, such as Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline, and ideally have previous experience in the biologics field, particularly with antibody engineering, designing antibody discovery or optimization variant libraries, and display-based discovery. Familiarity with antibody properties required to ensure developable drugs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Scientific Development Specialist will provide pre- and post-sale technical support to key pharmaceutical, biotech, and related companies, developing strategic goals, building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and staying updated on market trends to drive new opportunities. They will also train on Twist technology, products, and services, provide expert understanding and strong technical competency when discussing Twist’s capabilities, build and nurture relationships with stakeholders and customers, prospect and generate lists of potential customers, provide application support for pre- and post- sales activities, travel locally and regionally to work with sales account managers, attend meetings with key customers, participate in trade shows, present and pitch Twist capabilities at conferences and meetings, and support the sales team in technical matters.
