Requirements

Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge and experience in mixed-signal and embedded design, along with experience in C-programming and/or Embedded Linux. They should also have experience with FPGA’s as a plus, and typically require 3–5 years of electronic design experience with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; or 2 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

As a Field Applications Engineer, you will drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs, understanding customer needs, and leveraging engineering and design services resources. You will accelerate customer’s time to market by providing technical support as well as leveraging both internal and supplier support escalation paths. You will partner with customers to gain a thorough understanding of their design requirements at both system and component levels, prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers, manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel for assigned suppliers, attend supplier trainings to stay up to date on technologies and market needs, train the local sales team in new products and assist in marketing efforts, build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, manage expectations and keeping stakeholders informed on progress, actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews, developing and driving strategic technical plans, help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars, and provide technical guidance and assistance to Arrow field sales staff.
