Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, and have 1-3 years of experience in federal sales, business development, lead generation, within the cloud native, cybersecurity or devops industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with proficiency in using CRM systems, such as HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, and other sales enablement tools.

Responsibilities

The Federal Business Development Representative will develop and implement strategic business plans to identify and pursue new opportunities within the public sector, establish relationships with key stakeholders, and align business development strategies with organizational goals and government regulations. They will prospect and identify potential clients in the security sales market using various lead generation techniques, conduct thorough research on prospects to understand their security needs, generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads, qualify leads by understanding their business requirements, schedule meetings and product demos for the sales team, collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted sales strategies, maintain accurate records of prospects in the CRM system, stay current on industry trends, and provide feedback to marketing and product teams.
