Employment Type: Full-Time Location Type: Remote Salary: $50,000/yr - $60,000/yr (Base Pay) plus commission

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in Flashpoint’s growth strategy. As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact between potential customers and our company. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, setting meetings, and working closely with the Sales team to drive qualified pipeline for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting.
  • Set up meetings and coordinate high-level conversations between prospects and Sales Directors.
  • Craft engaging messaging outreach across multiple channels (email, social, calling, texting).
  • Effectively handle objections and navigate challenging conversations.
  • Research potential leads and target accounts in assigned territories or industries.
  • Master the sales pitch and prospecting methods.
  • Align outbound strategy and activities with Sales counterparts to build successful relationships.
  • Articulate Flashpoint's value proposition and handle in-depth conversations with prospects.

What You Will Achieve

Within 30 Days:

  • Complete onboarding and feel ready to dive into the role.
  • Gain a strong understanding of Flashpoint’s products/services, value proposition, target market, and personas.
  • Understand the industry landscape, including key competitors and market trends.
  • Begin researching potential leads and target accounts.
  • Master the sales pitch and prospecting method.

Within 60 Days:

  • Continuously learn and improve based on experienced successes and failures.
  • Achieve 50% of ramp quota in month two.
  • Hit outbound activity targets.

By 90 Days:

  • Achieve 100% of ramp quota, feeling confident to hit a fully ramped quarter.
  • Fully align outbound strategy and activities with Sales counterparts.
  • Confidently articulate the value proposition and handle more in-depth conversations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience cultivating qualified leads from outbound prospecting to successfully setting up meetings.
  • Experience coordinating high-level conversations between prospects and Sales Directors.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting engaging messaging outreach across multiple channels (email, social, calling, texting).
  • Resilience and effectiveness in handling objections.
  • Familiarity with the Security and/or Threat Intelligence space, or a strong eagerness to learn quickly.
  • A strong contributor in both performance and culture.
  • Comfort working with a wide range of software tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships quickly.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in BDR tech stack.
