The candidate must be an Australian qualified Lawyer with 6+ years of post-qualification experience, a Certified Mediator, and a trained ER investigator. Prior experience interpreting Fair Work rulings, applying their requirements into frameworks, and representing clients in conciliation and court proceedings is essential.
The ER Lawyer will oversee and ensure the practicality and compliance of Employee Relations frameworks, processes, and practices with regulatory and legal standards. This role involves providing expert guidance on complex ER matters, leading investigations, advising on employment law risks, representing the company in mediations or hearings, managing external legal counsel, and maintaining accurate case records. Additionally, the ER Lawyer will develop and update ER policies, oversee employment contracts, and ensure compliance with government submissions like WGEA, while also identifying ER skill gaps and analyzing ER data to proactively mitigate risks.
