Enterprise Sales Engineer

Candidates should possess experience as a Sales Engineer or Presales Engineer, along with experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects. They must have experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks, and demonstrate knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.). Experience in cloud security or containers security is also required.
The Enterprise Sales Engineer will assess a prospect’s technical requirements, apply extensive knowledge of Chainguard products, and illustrate how a deal will satisfy the client’s unmet needs. They will cultivate relationships with decision-makers at all levels of an organization and negotiate the competing needs of multiple stakeholders. The role involves securing technical wins through demonstrations, RFP/RFI responses, lead POVs, collaborating with engineering for requested features, and participating in conferences and industry events. They will partner with the Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of the solution, focus on acquiring new customer logos, and own all technical aspects of sales opportunities, assisting current customers in understanding the value of Chainguard. Day-to-day responsibilities include listening to customers, conducting product demonstrations and POVs/POCs, and actively participating in webinars, meetups, and conferences.
