The role focuses on assessing a prospect’s technical requirements and leveraging extensive knowledge of Chainguard products to demonstrate how the solution meets client needs. This position involves cultivating relationships with decision-makers, negotiating competing stakeholder needs, and securing technical wins through methods such as demos, RFP/RFI responses, lead POVs, collaborating with engineering for feature requests, and participating in conferences and industry events.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales Team to help customers evaluate and prove the value of Chainguard's solution.
- Focus on acquiring new customer logos and growing the existing customer base.
- Own all technical aspects of sales opportunities.
- Assist current customers in understanding the value of Chainguard.
- Listen to customers and understand their challenges.
- Conduct product demonstrations and Proofs of Value/Concepts (POVs/POCs).
- Actively participate in webinars, meetups, conferences, and other marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience as a Sales Engineer / Presales Engineer.
- Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks.
- Experience selling into Enterprise and Mid Market prospects.
- Experience in the following areas:
- Container technologies (Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker)
- Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
- Cloud security or container security
- Experience selling in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg region.
