Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or related fields is required, along with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Data Factory, Logic Apps, and DevOps/Git in a production environment. Strong skills in a programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or C#, and SQL for data transformation and automation are essential. Experience with relational database design and warehouse architecture, data security principles, and compliance frameworks is necessary. Familiarity with Power BI and building data models/dashboards is a plus. The candidate must possess strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills, and reside in the United States. Previous exposure to cross-functional work is preferred.
The Data Engineer will design, develop, and manage the enterprise data infrastructure, building scalable, automated data pipelines for reliability, security, and performance. Responsibilities include leveraging Azure Data Factory, Python or another scripting language, and SQL to design and maintain ELT jobs, automate data ingestion and transformation, and uphold data governance practices. The role involves using Azure Logic Apps and/or Power Automate for workflow orchestration and automation, and developing/maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. The Data Engineer will partner with business teams to monitor and optimize data systems, enhance performance, ensure compliance, and safeguard data assets, contributing to the company's digital transformation.
