Candidates should possess 4+ years of experience in technology sales with a proven track record of exceeding annual targets, demonstrating the ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into consultative sales. Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills are required, along with diligence and organizational skills to manage intricate sales cycles. Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn is also necessary. Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software, and knowledge of or prior experience with dbt are preferred.
The Enterprise Sales Director will be responsible for building out dbt Labs’ enterprise customer base throughout Southern California, identifying new business opportunities, and driving growth for existing clients. This role involves owning the full sales cycle from lead to ongoing utilization, organizing POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise, winning new dbt Cloud Enterprise customers, leading and contributing to team projects, collaborating with the product team to build the enterprise roadmap, and becoming an expert in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations. They will also be an active member of the dbt open source community and a passionate inclusive teammate.
