The Enterprise Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is a key technical expert responsible for supporting enterprise-level customers in adopting and optimizing Altium’s software solutions. The FAE will work closely with sales, product teams, and customers to deliver technical guidance, product demonstrations, and tailored solutions that drive customer success. This role requires a deep understanding of PCB design, electronic engineering, and enterprise software deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, guiding them on best practices for utilizing Altium’s software solutions.
  • Provide in-depth product demonstrations, training, and technical support to customers to ensure successful adoption.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Sales team to identify customer needs, define solutions, and drive revenue growth.
  • Work with Product Management and R&D to relay customer feedback, feature requests, and industry trends.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges related to PCB design, data management, and software implementation.
  • Develop and present technical content, including webinars and workshops.
  • Engage with customer engineering teams to optimize workflows and ensure seamless integration of Altium solutions into their design environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and at least one additional language (German, French, Spanish, Italian).
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in PCB design, EDA software, or a related technical field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of PCB design tools and methodologies.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Altium Designer and enterprise-level EDA solutions.
  • Understanding: Understanding of PLM, ERP, and data management integration.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to solving challenges.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with sales, product, and engineering teams.
  • Enterprise Experience: Experience working with enterprise customers in an FAE or similar role.
  • Cloud Familiarity: Familiarity with cloud-based design collaboration tools.
