Mozilla IT is seeking an outstanding Senior HRIS Application Engineer to streamline Human Resource (HR) experiences for Mozillians and enhance the HRIS team. This role involves developing, proposing, and implementing Workday integrations, tenant fixes, and enhancements. The position is crucial for providing technical support for the Workday instance, including absence module, tenant tuning, data integrity, and dashboard development supporting People systems administration. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver passionate about learning, innovation, and delivering scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in implementation, enhancement, and/or technical support of Workday Core HCM and supplemental modules.
  • Experience with multi-system integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of system security, access, permissions, and approvals, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with the People Team and other groups to ensure expert data management.
  • Respond to critical requests by clarifying needs and setting realistic expectations for feature delivery.
  • Create and manage a catalog of reports and dashboards for consistent data representation.
  • Develop audit processes and reports to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Configure and enhance business processes, integrations, and system-related governance.
  • Support HR system requests, including gathering requirements, system configuration, integration design and development, testing, implementation, and training.
  • Diagnose system problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Serve as a Workday Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support initiatives from the People Team and multi-functional partners.
  • Act as a consultant to stakeholders in concept development, assessing feasibility, scope, and resource requirements.
  • Drive and support release management by assessing readiness and impact on downstream systems and change management.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date process documentation and manage change management as required.
  • Assist with end-user knowledge transfer (KT) or training.
  • Ask insightful questions and provide constructive feedback.
  • Anticipate needs and leverage past experiences to offer solutions.
  • Maintain relationships with key business partners to manage issues and provide timely support.
