Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, along with 1-3 years of experience in sales, lead generation, or business development, preferably within the cloud native, cybersecurity, or devops industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, alongside proficiency in using CRM systems such as HubSpot CRM or Salesforce, and other sales enablement tools. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills are also necessary, as well as being self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
As an Enterprise Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting and identifying potential clients in the security sales market through various techniques like cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and attending industry events. You will conduct thorough research on prospects to understand their security needs, generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality leads by meeting or exceeding targets, qualify leads, schedule meetings and product demos, collaborate with the sales team on targeted strategies, maintain CRM records, and stay current on industry trends to position Chainguard’s solutions effectively. Furthermore, you will provide feedback to marketing and product teams based on prospect interactions and attend sales training sessions.
