Position Overview

Twilio is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to join our Segment Sales organization. Segment offers a platform that standardizes and streamlines data infrastructure, enabling businesses to collect, unify, and send data to various tools seamlessly. This role is crucial for growing our Enterprise business, a strategic component of our go-to-market strategy. We provide significant value to growth, mid-market, and enterprise companies by identifying new use cases to optimize customer engagement. This is an opportunity for a driven individual passionate about acquiring new logos and driving scaled customer expansion within Enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from pipeline generation to close and post-sales.
  • Employ a value-oriented sales methodology, focusing on use cases related to customer data and marketing activation.
  • Contribute to the growth and adoption of Segment within the Enterprise business segment.
  • Own the cross-functional team, including Pre-Sales and Customer Success.
  • Drive a pipeline generation cadence to develop expansion opportunities from our existing customer base and acquire new target accounts.
  • Lead compelling presentations of Segment’s product and vision to diverse audiences, from C-level executives to individual contributors, utilizing Segment’s value-based sales methodology.
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively managing your pipeline of opportunities for pre-committed revenue deals.
  • Leverage and coordinate cross-functional internal teams (Sales Development, Legal, Engineering, Security, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success) to efficiently navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Work closely with Twilio team members to drive company-wide deployments of Twilio/Segment use cases, with a specific responsibility for pre-committed ARR.

Requirements

  • Required:
    • 7+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, primarily selling to Enterprise accounts.
    • Experience in pipeline generation and a weekly metrics-based approach measuring key activity and pipeline adds.
    • A proven record of consistently exceeding quotas.
    • SaaS-based sales experience.
    • Experience with value-based sales methodologies (e.g., Force Management, MEDPICC).
    • Strong understanding of the Martech industry and the role of data.
