Candidates must have experience in quota-carrying sales roles within a competitive market, focusing on growing consumption within accounts or territories. Prior experience in Big Data, Consumption, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions is required, along with previous sales methodology training such as MEDDPICC or Challenger. Proven experience in leading and executing complex sales strategies to drive revenue growth, a consistent track record of overachieving quotas, and the ability to articulate business value are essential. Exceptional skills in relationship-building, customer relations, and negotiation are necessary, and candidates should be open to travel to customer locations as needed. A BS/BA degree or equivalent is preferred.
The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth within large, complex accounts by proactively prospecting, identifying, qualifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities. They will lead and execute complex sales cycles, demonstrating the value of Confluent offerings to C-level executives. The role involves becoming an expert on Confluent's products and the competitive landscape, developing a deep understanding of customer strategies and business goals to act as a trusted advisor, and collaborating with partner ecosystem teams, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services, and Customer Success Management to ensure customer success and identify expansion opportunities.
