Candidates must have over 5 years of experience managing complex projects involving the integration of electromechanical assemblies and software, such as those found in aerospace, automotive, or semiconductor industries. Experience managing third-party resources like contractors and suppliers, a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and familiarity with hardware bill of materials (BOMs), process documentation, assembly and test processes, and Agile software development are essential. The ability to effectively communicate project requirements and schedules is also required.
The Engineering Program Manager will oversee the engineering program management for autonomous vehicle systems throughout their product lifecycle. This includes partnering with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project plans, track progress against critical paths, and identify and troubleshoot risks or misses. The role involves defining roadmaps and guiding the development of new vehicle systems by engaging with component and vehicle partners. Responsibilities also include building and improving project execution tools and processes, distilling organizational goals into strategic roadmaps, filling organizational gaps to keep the critical path on track, supporting field testing to identify optimization opportunities, and managing supplier relationships and purchasing of BOMs.
