Senior Software Systems Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles
NVIDIAFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years), Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Python and SQL programming skills are required, along with prior knowledge and implementation of ELT pipelines for product quality analysis. Proven analytical and systems engineering skills in complex systems and ambiguous AI functions, along with a track record of root cause analysis in complex SW/HW systems, are essential. Familiarity with analytical methods for driving behavioral analysis, creative problem-solving abilities with limited supervision, and strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills are necessary. Experience communicating data-driven decisions to leadership is also required. Experience with statistical methods for product evaluation and risk assessment, developing data-driven metrics, GitHub and Jira, and robotics/AV/ADAS systems provide a competitive edge.
The Staff Evaluation Systems Engineer will define and implement robust processes for the evaluation and validation of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs), focusing on the End-to-End ML Stack. This includes designing an AV evaluation process from conception through implementation, providing hands-on implementation of infrastructure solutions using ELT tooling for simulation and on-road data, and proactively scoping and implementing metrics to improve evaluation workflows. The role involves contributing to automated triage strategies for AV deficiencies, presenting findings to stakeholders, articulating insights and recommendations based on AV performance analysis, and defining/maintaining scalable processes to monitor and improve evaluation KPIs. Responsibilities also include mapping the link between continuous improvement processes, the product safety case, and compliance with safety standards.
