Candidates should possess 5-8 years of experience in program management or technical operations, preferably within a high-growth SaaS environment. A proven track record of leading global, cross-functional programs with complex interdependencies is required, along with strong operational acumen and analytical skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, particularly for executive and cross-functional communication, are essential. Experience working closely with engineering, product, and business teams in agile environments is necessary, as is comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring structure to evolving programs. A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies, along with a hands-on, proactive leadership style, is expected. Knowledge of the code-to-production process is also required.
The Engineering Program Manager will partner with engineering and product teams to define goals, roadmaps, and success metrics for high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. They will identify and drive strategic programs to enhance engineering operational efficiency, create structured plans for complex programs, and lead execution across engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and cross-team coordination. Responsibilities include owning program updates and communication to stakeholders and executives, analyzing data to produce actionable insights, identifying and mitigating risks, facilitating check-ins and decision-making forums, and supporting engineering leadership with staff meeting preparation. Additionally, they will drive the execution of engineering-wide events, identify process improvement opportunities, and champion the adoption of tools, workflows, and best practices across the engineering organization.
