Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams of 3-8 engineers, preferably in a startup or SaaS environment focused on client applications. Proven ability in technical leadership, including design reviews, enforcing coding standards, and prototyping solutions in JavaScript/React, React Native, or Python/Django, is essential. Experience in people development, including mentoring engineers through 1:1s, setting growth goals, and building inclusive hiring pipelines, is required. A track record of managing SDLC processes, defining KPIs, and delivering high-quality software is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of 3-8 engineers responsible for client applications, including web and mobile apps built in React Native. They will report to the VP of Engineering and drive end-to-end outcomes for user-facing experiences, ensuring scalable, secure, and delightful solutions. This role requires staying hands-on with coding, prototyping, and debugging, while also excelling in communication and leadership to shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture. The manager will ensure the platform and team scale to support company growth, adhering to engineering values such as owning the outcome, discipline, simplicity, speed, collaboration, and building with craft, stability, scale, and security.
