Requirements

  • Maintains a Life & Health Insurance License required by the State Department of Insurance to provide service, consultation, and financial risk transfer solutions in states where the firm functions, or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment
  • Preferred: Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance
  • Self-starter with the ability to influence others through effective verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Presents proposals professionally, thoroughly reviewing coverages to ensure client understanding
  • Communicates effectively with clients, prospects, insurance company partners, and the service team
  • Finalizes sales, collects necessary documents and applications, and briefs the service team on policy sales
  • Develops prospects through community involvement, attending insurance company partner seminars, networking, and referrals
  • Develops information and recommendations for prospective accounts, presents proposals, and adheres to firm policies and procedures
  • Maintains accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail when interacting with clients, the firm, and insurance company partners
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the insurance industry and underwriting criteria
  • Positively represents the firm in the community and with insurance company partners
  • Performs other functions as assigned by leadership
  • Seeks opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes
  • Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership
  • Meets monthly new business goals
