Requirements

Candidates must possess 8-12+ years of retail experience in Consumer Electronics (CE), with 3-5 years in marketing, insights, or merchandising at a major retailer within the CE sector, or 5+ years in a sales role as a vendor to the CE industry. A strong network within the CE industry, a proven track record of fostering new client relationships and driving incremental revenue, effective senior-level communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, and proven quantifiable overachievement of revenue, sales, and profitability objectives are required. Proficiency in financial and contractual management, managing selling cycles, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director of Sales will lead large, complex sales engagements with US retail clients in the Consumer Electronics & Optics Industry, focusing on developing commercial strategies and closing deals. Responsibilities include prospecting for new business opportunities, establishing and growing Cooperative agreements, driving incremental revenue, and uncovering competitive intelligence. The role involves owning the revenue management process, representing client needs internally, building senior-level client relationships, understanding NielsenIQ products, leading joint business planning, selling in new product concepts, enhancing existing tools, providing thought leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing deals through the NielsenIQ Enterprise Sales Process while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
