The role requires effective senior-level communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, along with proven and quantifiable overachievement of revenue, sales, and profitability objectives. Proficiency in financial and contractual management, managing selling cycles, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ability to articulate complex issues concisely and persuasively to a diverse audience, along with a flexible approach to communication, is also required.
The Director of Sales will lead large, complex sales engagements across a new portfolio of US retail clients, focusing on developing commercial strategies to generate new business relationships and closing deals within the Consumer Electronics & Optics Industry. Responsibilities include prospecting for new business opportunities, driving incremental revenue by understanding client needs and tailoring solutions, and uncovering retailer, manufacturer, and competitive intelligence. The role involves owning the entire revenue management process, including financial targets, cash flow optimization, billing, pipeline management, and contract processes. Key duties also include representing the voice of the client within NielsenIQ, building and growing effective client relationships with senior-level stakeholders, developing a comprehensive understanding of NielsenIQ products and solutions, leading joint business planning processes, identifying and selling in existing and new product concepts, and proactively identifying opportunities for workflow efficiency improvements. The position requires providing thought leadership on business expansion, collaborating with cross-functional business units, and working through the NielsenIQ Enterprise Sales Process while documenting progress in CRM software to drive high customer satisfaction.
