Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of oversight for operations and P&L responsibility
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Based at Republic Services headquarters in Phoenix, AZ (hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote; not eligible for fully remote)

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional strategic teams in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating operational and financial data; prepares and presents recommendations for short- and long-term strategy
  • Leads and participates in strategic line of business teams, including planning, goal setting, evaluation, and presentation of results
  • Prepares operational and financial reports for senior leadership (e.g., Board of Directors, Executive Counsel, field leadership); identifies trends and opportunities to reduce operating costs
  • Collaborates with Digital Operations and Area teams to execute operations transformation initiatives
  • Leads operationally-focused projects to enhance core operating systems and business intelligence reporting
  • Works with Customer Experience and Product Development teams to enhance customer experience
  • Coordinates with Geospatial Intelligence Systems (GIS) group on Route Optimization, Disposal Optimization, and other GIS tools to improve growth
  • Analyzes monthly, quarterly, and year-over-year cost, margin, and volume trends; makes recommendations to improve performance
  • Monitors field performance and collaborates with Area teams to provide support and drive improvements
  • Directs and coordinates operations programs/plans, including Blue Crew, emergency response, disaster recovery, acquisition, and contract start-ups
  • Participates and collaborates with cross-functional leadership to develop and deliver training, communication, and documentation for operational effectiveness
  • Provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of hauling operational plans, goals, and major initiatives
  • Analyzes operational effectiveness, return analyses, functional standardization, and optimization capability
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for hauling operations
  • Collaborates with learning and talent function to organize training and development for Area teams and field hauling leaders
  • Supports Area teams in identifying and addressing opportunities to improve hauling operations effectiveness
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
