Candidates must possess at least 12 years of technical revenue accounting experience, with deep expertise in ASC 606 for SaaS, consumption-based, and professional services arrangements. Proven experience advising Product and GTM teams on pricing, monetization strategies, and revenue recognition implications is required. Strong contract review experience, including multi-element arrangements, milestone-based SOWs, and credit/usage models, is essential. Familiarity with order-to-cash workflows and revenue automation tools is beneficial. Excellent communication skills are necessary to translate complex accounting guidance into practical advice for non-accounting teams. The Director of Technical Revenue will shape revenue strategy as the primary revenue advisor for self-serve product and pricing changes, including new launches, credit-based pricing, and usage-based models. They will lead revenue recognition for custom professional services offerings, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. This role involves partnering closely with Growth, GTM, Legal, and Deal Desk to proactively evaluate revenue implications during product development, pricing changes, and contract negotiations. The Director will draft and maintain technical accounting memos and policies to document positions on complex arrangements under ASC 606. Collaboration with Finance Systems and Engineering teams to drive automation initiatives for contract intake, SSP allocation, and revenue reporting is key. Additionally, they will partner with the Head of Technical Revenue to define long-term priorities for revenue automation and improvements to processes and controls, and mentor and guide the technical revenue team to proactively influence product and contract decisions.
