Requirements

Candidates must possess a CPA and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a preference for a Big 4 background or experience in a high-growth tech or fintech company. A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in revenue accounting is required, along with deep knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition for complex contracts. Strong comfort with high transaction volumes and data complexity, a systems mindset with experience in ERP and revenue tools, and a tech-forward approach are essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities.

Responsibilities

The Revenue Accounting Manager will own the end-to-end revenue accounting process, including the recognition of commissions and contingent commissions. They will apply and interpret ASC 606 across various revenue streams and ensure timely and accurate month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting for all revenue-related accounts. This role involves maintaining and updating revenue recognition policies and accounting memos, partnering with data and engineering teams to enhance data quality and streamline revenue reporting, and identifying/implementing process improvements and automation opportunities. Additionally, the manager will collaborate with external auditors for audit and SOX compliance, and assist with special projects such as ERP optimization and IPO readiness.
