Director of Marketing Operations

Position Overview

Tremendous is seeking a Director of Marketing Operations to build and manage the systems, processes, and insights that power a world-class, data-driven marketing engine. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will lead the Marketing Operations function and collaborate closely with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Sales Ops, and Finance to ensure efficient scaling of go-to-market motions. This role is ideal for a marketing-ops leader who excels at data-driven decision-making, thrives in a startup environment, and wants to significantly impact the operating model of a profitable, high-growth company.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Tech Stack Ownership: Drive tool selection, implementation, and ongoing administration of the marketing technology stack.
  • Campaign Workflow Optimization: Design and optimize end-to-end campaign workflows, from lead capture through sales hand-off, ensuring clear SLAs for tracking, routing, and actioning of all MQLs.
  • Reporting & Insights: Build and maintain KPI dashboards and reporting across various channels, funnel stages, programs, and cohorts. Identify opportunities to optimize marketing investments and improve ROI.
  • Project Management: Drive critical projects from strategy to implementation, including lead-scoring models, attribution frameworks, and lead funnel optimization.
  • Budgeting & ROI Analysis: Connect marketing investment to revenue impact, recommend spend reallocations, and track customer acquisition cost (CAC) payback.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Data, and Sales Operations teams to maintain data integrity and ensure single-source-of-truth reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate new tools and processes to unlock scale, automation, and insights.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations or Revenue/Growth Ops with a strong marketing focus, preferably within a fintech or SaaS company.
  • Deep experience with modern Go-To-Market (GTM) stacks, including:
    • Marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot)
    • CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
    • BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode)
    • Enrichment, chat, and ABM tools.
  • Proven track record in pipeline forecasting, attribution modeling, and ROI analysis that informs budget and resource decisions.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel/Sheets, SQL or warehouse querying, and familiarity with statistical testing/experimentation methodologies.
  • Hands-on builder mentality with a comfort level in designing workflows, writing automation logic, and performing data QA.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, capable of translating complex analysis into actionable insights for marketers, executives, and sales representatives.
  • Startup grit: ability to iterate quickly, embrace ambiguity, and scale systems from nascent to sophisticated.
