Position Overview

SailPoint is seeking a proven leader to serve as the Director of CAE, responsible for building out and managing a sales organization with scalability, predictability, accountability, and performance. This role is crucial for driving the company's steep growth curve as the market leader in identity and access governance. The Director of CAE will be a key member of the Sales Leadership team, reporting directly to the GVP - Enterprise.

The sales crew at SailPoint tackles goals through strategy, data analysis, hiring and training, forecasting, territory design, and sales process optimization. This team uses soft skills and persuasion to communicate ideas to customers and prospective clients, contributing significantly to the company's success. You will bring your skills and innovative ideas to create an environment that attracts top talent in the sales industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of revenue generation, customer acquisition, and customer account penetration to drive company growth.
  • Manage direct sales, inside sales, and sales engineering functions.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with the sales leadership team to influence technology, product line planning, and strategic partnerships.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate a world-class AMS sales team.
  • Define and execute a multi-tier sales model, including field-direct, inside, and partner/channel sales.
  • Coordinate with peers and customers at the senior management level to contribute to product planning and strategy.
  • Set clear goals, assign responsibilities, measure performance, and manage feedback to achieve quality and timely results.
  • Increase sales productivity and invigorate the sales force in EMEA.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue plans with high predictability.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of sales and sales management experience consistently exceeding revenue and earnings expectations at scale in an Enterprise Software vendor.
  • Exceptional track record of scaling and leading a field organization in a high-growth company, or a highly accountable role in a security division of a larger corporation.
  • Experience scaling a growth-stage software company and sales team as a member of the executive staff is preferred.
  • Proven sales management experience selling large, complex enterprise software products.
  • Experience selling into the C-suite is required.
  • Proficient understanding of solution selling processes, sales strategy, sales forecasting, and pipeline development.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and lead a team of high-achieving sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and overcome sales, customer, and managerial challenges.
  • A process and quantitative orientation.
  • Superb communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • A visionary who has built and led extremely high-performance teams without the corporate "cover" of a larger company brand.
