Requirements

The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or strategy, preferably within a growing SaaS company. They should also possess over 2 years of experience in building and managing teams, with a proven ability to lead and mentor. Experience with data strategy, defining analytics roadmaps, KPIs, and governance is essential, as is a strong understanding of customer and product analytics, including user behavior, retention, churn, and product adoption. Familiarity with BI tooling and infrastructure, including data warehousing and analytics stacks, is also required. The candidate must possess strong analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and the ability to get hands-on to drive impact.

Responsibilities

The Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics will design and implement the company's analytics and BI strategy from the ground up. They will partner with product, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to shape how success is measured, uncover opportunities, and optimize decision-making. Responsibilities include building and mentoring a high-impact team, generating actionable insights for GTM, Product, and Operations teams, and owning the development and delivery of company performance narratives for executive and operational audiences. The role involves prioritizing and executing the project roadmap, distilling critical business insights for leadership, and influencing stakeholders with findings. Additionally, they will develop scalable processes for data integrity monitoring, gather business requirements from diverse users, and translate them into solutions. This includes establishing and scaling the analytics function, defining the analytics roadmap, KPIs, and governance, partnering with leaders to design experiments and deliver dashboards, collaborating with Engineering on the BI stack, driving customer and product analytics, and providing data-driven insights to the executive team. The Director will also evangelize data literacy and ensure stakeholders have self-serve access to trusted metrics.
