Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with planning and implementing AWS Cloud environments
  • Strong experience with designing and deploying AWS Services like Elastic Compute (EC2), Storage (S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier and AWS Storage Gateway) and RDS
  • Experience with Logging/Monitoring tools like ELK, Datadog
  • Demonstrated experience in AWS storage encryption, data at rest, and data in transit
  • Bring a DevOps mindset to the overall software development process
  • Ability to define DevOps best practices and contribute in architecture discussions
  • Think about security for system interaction points and data; Figure out what AWS capabilities we should (and shouldn’t) use as we grow
  • Challenge the way “things have always been done”

Responsibilities

  • Scale and maintain the company’s Infrastructure
  • Collaborate with a team of diverse engineers and data scientists to bring a new, paradigm-shifting platform to market
  • Write quality Python/Golang code
  • Define DevOps best practices
  • Contribute to architecture discussions
  • Consider security implications for system interactions and data
  • Evaluate AWS capabilities for growth
  • Automate everyday operations using scripts
  • Manage system migrations and upgrades
  • Create and implement instrumentation and system metrics to proactively identify and address issues
  • Address system problems in real-time and build out the technology to prevent recurrence
  • Lead development teams in building and deploying microservices-based applications in the cloud using Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools
