Requirements

Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related scientific discipline, along with 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software development. Expertise in AWS services, including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, and cloud security best practices is essential, as is hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and version control (GitLab, GitHub) is also necessary, along with experience with Linux and Windows server administration, database management, and Databricks.

Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer at Verana Health, you will architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using AWS, with a focus on automation, security, and scalability; develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and improve operational efficiency; collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, QA) to support their DevOps needs and drive continuous improvement; implement and enforce best practices for authorization, authentication, and compliance across AWS services; monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of critical applications and databases; document and refine DevOps processes to foster knowledge sharing and operational excellence; and support database management, server administration (Linux/Windows), and infrastructure orchestration using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, while also contributing to a culture of innovation, learning, and growth within the technology team.
