Serve Robotics is reimagining urban mobility with our personable sidewalk robot. We're building the future of delivery, taking it away from congested streets and benefiting local businesses. We’re looking for a talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to be the driving force behind automating our cloud solutions. You’ll create and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates, refine processes, and keep our technology stack at the forefront of best practices. A key responsibility will be ensuring our automation seamlessly serves both development and production environments while optimizing costs and resource usage.

Requirements

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (details not specified)
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
  • Knowledge of resource management and cost optimization strategies

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

    • Design reusable, version-controlled configurations for rapid deployment and maintenance.
  • Hands-On Automation:
    • Implement and own automated processes for provisioning, scaling, disaster recovery, and routine updates.
    • Minimize manual intervention through effective tooling and scripting.
  • Technical Leadership (Non-Managerial):
    • Drive cloud-related initiatives across the company, providing technical expertise.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., security, product, SRE) to ensure alignment.
    • Advocate for best practices and make strategic recommendations.
  • Monitoring & Alerting:
    • Deploy and refine observability solutions (metrics, logs, tracing).
    • Proactively tune monitoring systems to identify issues.
  • Resource Management & Cost Optimization:
    • Implement strategies to retire or scale down unused resources.
    • Track and allocate cloud spending at a granular level.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Integrate security best practices into infrastructure designs.
    • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure alignment with policies and regulatory requirements.
