Requirements

  • Diploma in any IT field and 0-2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Entry-level decision making
  • Beginner-level computer and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively present information verbally in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Good customer service skills, providing support electronically and in person for internal customer satisfaction
  • Ability to use existing automated systems to eliminate repetitive user/administrative procedures
  • Ability to analyze technology issues and apply standard procedures/documented techniques to resolve efficiently and timely
  • Ability to ensure consistent loading of software packages, operating systems, and specialized packages through established processes
  • Ability to actively communicate with Desktop Admin and collaborate with peers in the regional IT organization
  • Willingness to travel minimally (<10%) as needed
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (Monday-Saturday, 7pm-7am or 7am-7pm) if required

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support for internal customers
  • Collaborate with other Desktop Technicians and Desktop Admin to manage site computing equipment (laptops, desktops, thin clients, printers, and computer interfaces)
  • Manage low-complexity tasks and provide timely status feedback to Desktop Admin
  • Support Desktop Admin on issue escalation and resolution
  • Align with and adhere to global IT policies and standards
  • Support Desktop Admin in effective lifecycle management of computing devices, equipment, and software inventory tracking
  • Follow established change management policies/procedures to test and implement system updates, modifications, and deletions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
