Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience in data architecture, analytics engineering, or a senior data role, demonstrating a strong understanding of data modeling principles and best practices. They should have experience managing or mentoring data or analytics engineers, with a focus on delivery and technical growth, and a solid hands-on background in SQL and modern warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, ClickHouse, or BigQuery.
As the Data Architect, the individual will be responsible for designing and owning the architecture of the analytical data layer, focusing on scalability, transparency, and business alignment, while also managing and mentoring Analytics Engineers. They will act as a key interface to client-facing teams, translating reporting needs into data models, establishing and maintaining governance frameworks including documentation standards and data quality controls, formalizing modeling best practices for dbt, and driving standardization of KPIs and business dimensions. Furthermore, they will build the foundation for self-serve analytics and communicate with clients to clarify requirements and explain data model behavior.
