Proficiency in database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Neptune, MongoDB, Redshift, and Snowflake is essential, along with strong SQL and database optimization skills, and experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
The Senior Data Engineer will design and build data architecture, including databases and data lakes, and develop scalable data pipelines using AWS services. Responsibilities include optimizing database performance and security, implementing backup and recovery procedures, and leading strategic data infrastructure initiatives. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, managing projects, and driving change management for data systems.
