Candidates must possess an understanding of Git and typical branching strategies, knowledge of the software development lifecycle and development pipeline, and an understanding of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and DevSecOps. Prior experience in Customer Success or a similar role focused on increasing satisfaction, adoption, and retention is required, along with experience partnering with customers to define and achieve business outcomes. Familiarity with customers of relevant sizes for the assigned segment is necessary, as are exceptional verbal, written, organizational, presentation, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, a strong team player, and a self-starter.
The Customer Success Architect will partner with customers to translate pre-sales plans into actionable objectives and desired business outcomes. They will guide customers by understanding the GitLab platform, common best practices, use cases, and the customer journey to drive future adoption. This role involves acting as the GitLab liaison for customer questions, issues, or escalations, collaborating with GitLab Support, Product Management, and other teams as needed. The CSA will own a portfolio of assigned customers, focusing on increasing adoption, ensuring retention and growth, and overall customer satisfaction, while staying current with GitLab releases. Responsibilities include providing immediate onboarding activities, building Customer Success Plans with critical goals and KPIs, managing account escalations, providing insights on new feature availability and applicability, and supporting the identification of training opportunities.
