Requirements

  • Ability to sell the entire portfolio of cardiovascular product categories (Coronary, Endovascular, CRM, EP, Structural Heart, Heart Failure and Capital)
  • Experience executing business plans for assigned accounts including Independent Delivery Networks (IDN), Independent Hospital Networks (IHN) and multi-hospital health systems
  • Capability to establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned IDNs and hospital systems
  • Skills to proactively build deep executive level relationships with customers across segments, therapeutic areas and business functions (e.g., C-suite, supply chain, health economics, quality committees)
  • Ability to drive, create and negotiate complex contract structures with IDNs, IHNs and multi-hospital systems
  • Experience developing and implementing business plans for targeted accounts
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering corporate proposals and branding/positioning presentations
  • Willingness to work closely with corporate contract management and legal staff
  • Ability to partner and assist sales team counterparts in strategic initiatives
  • Capacity to meet or exceed annual sales objectives ($80-100mm in revenue) by mobilizing cross-functional teams
  • Skills to influence organizational thinking on healthcare landscape changes (e.g., reform, distribution consolidation)
  • Experience optimizing account management using sales ops data, support colleagues, inside sales, marketing, etc
  • Location-based: Cover Seattle, WA / Portland, OR / Northern CA geography
  • Reports to Area Vice President, Enterprise Accounts
  • Strong business relationship building across Abbott cardiovascular franchises

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned IDNs and hospital systems
  • Proactively build deep executive level relationships with customers across segments, therapeutic areas and business functions (C-suite, supply chain, health economics, quality committees)
  • Engage and partner with key stakeholders to develop solutions and services beyond contracting
  • Drive, create and negotiate complex contract structures with IDNs, IHNs and multi-hospital systems
  • Drive integrated product agreements and create business solutions to drive share and growth
  • Develop and implement business plans for targeted accounts
  • Prepare and deliver corporate proposals and branding/positioning presentations to key customers and decision-makers
  • Work closely with corporate contract management and legal staff to ensure contracts meet requirements
  • Partner and assist all sales team counterparts in development, implementation and management of strategic initiatives within targeted accounts and geography
  • Meet or exceed annual sales objectives for assigned accounts by mobilizing people across multi-line organization and influencing business unit leaders
  • Influence organizational thinking on evolving healthcare landscape and partner with customers/stakeholders to navigate changes (e.g., healthcare reform, distribution consolidation)
  • Proactively keep the broader organization updated on account business planning and progress
  • Optimize account management by leveraging sales ops data, support colleagues and Abbott’s capabilities (inside sales, marketing, etc.)
