Requirements

A BA/BS degree in Communications, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or equivalent work experience is required, along with 7+ years of experience in PR, preferably a mix of agency and corporate in-house technology communications. Recent experience in tech, B2B, and/or corporate PR with an emphasis on brand is necessary. The ideal candidate must be able to present clearly and effectively to executives, be a solution-oriented critical thinker, demonstrate humility and a collaborative mindset, and have a passion for media relations and storytelling. Experience managing external PR agencies or an agency background is preferred, as is comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills, a strong eye for detail, and strong media relationships, particularly with tech media, are also preferred.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Communications Manager will develop and execute PR efforts for key company initiatives, including brand-focused messaging, thought leadership narratives, executive media and speaking opportunities, and proactive storytelling. This role involves developing and executing a strategic thought leadership program, leading collaboration with internal partners on strategic communications, and maintaining awareness of current trends and news moments to inform PR strategy. The manager will also manage agency partners to execute coverage that elevates the Zoom brand, partner with EMEA and APAC PR leads for in-region initiatives, manage corporate media inbound requests, identify opportunities to highlight Zoom, and develop press releases and content as needed. Additionally, the role requires advising executives on company-wide strategic initiatives and supporting other PR initiatives.
