Requirements

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in content design, conversation design, or UX writing, preferably with exposure to AI or dialogue systems. They must be strong writers with an ear for dialogue, skilled at creating dialogue datasets and training data for AI models, and experienced in evaluating and refining LLM outputs. Empathy, research-driven curiosity about psychology and relationships, and comfort writing for personal, emotional moments are essential. The ability to adapt tone, thrive in ambiguity, and collaborate across disciplines while leading independent writing are also required.

Responsibilities

The Conversation Designer will shape voice product experiences by writing dialogue and prompts that handle vulnerable moments with care, creating training transcripts and curated dialogues for AI models, and evaluating/refining LLM outputs for empathy, safety, and clarity. They will also craft in-product language across UI, onboarding, and notifications, partner with design, research, and engineering to shape AI-first experiences, and evolve the Hinge voice. Insights from psychology and behavioral science will be integrated into conversation frameworks.
