We are seeking a Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate payroll execution across geographies, administering sales commissions and organizational bonuses, and overseeing employee benefits, including U.S. and LATAM insurance programs. The ideal candidate will bridge compliance, equity, and strategic compensation planning across Proper’s diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Administer biweekly/monthly payroll for U.S. FTEs and LATAM contractors (e.g., Mexico, Colombia).
  • Calculate and process variable compensation, including sales commissions and performance bonuses, across organizations.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, encompassing U.S. health, dental, vision insurance, and LATAM health coverage.
  • Provide timely resolution to employee benefits issues, including claims, eligibility, and reimbursements.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to advise employees on compensation and benefits inquiries.
  • Maintain and audit payroll and benefits data within the HRIS, ensuring timely updates.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, benefit regulations, and internal controls.
  • Support annual compensation cycles, audits, and benchmarking efforts.
  • Assist in analyzing pay bands and market data for role budgeting.
  • Research and identify additional benefits to enhance our total rewards offerings for team members.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Direct experience processing LATAM contractor payroll and U.S. FTE payroll.
  • Experience with commission structures and bonus schemes.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Deel.
  • Strong understanding of LATAM health insurance and labor practices.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 3–5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
